March 3  It’s that time of year when the excitement of growing new plants is rising. Many people have asked if I (Esme Hedrick-Wong on Salt Spring) sell natural dye seeds. I’m pleased to say that now I do! It’s a modest collection, however, with just a few plants you will be able to create hundreds of different shades of colours. Each seed packet comes with detailed growing instructions and a list of what colours you can produce.

It would be wonderful if you could join us for a natural dye seed open house on Saturday March 3rd from 2 to 4:30pm.
Place: 222 Meyer Road, Salt Spring Island
Parking: Along Meyer Road
Tel: 250-653-4337
Refreshments will be served

Directions: From Fulford Harbour drive along Beaver Point Road. Make a left turn on Bullman Rd. Drive to top of Bullman Rd. Make a left onto Meyer Road. 222 Meyer Road is the first left hand driveway you come to. Kindly park along Meyer Road and walk up the driveway.

On display will be naturally dyed textiles showing the many colours you can make with the plants in this seed collection. I will also be giving a dye demonstration. Bring your friends, and you are welcome to pass this invite on to any one you know who would be interested in a fun afternoon of natural dyed colours.
