 Next meeting February 8, 2012.  

Set up will be the Joan Westwick Team, the Sylvia Scott Team will provide the tea.

Speaker:  "Vegetables, with emphasis on Winter Vegatables" presented by Bill Herring, Mill Bay's vegetable gardener extraordinaire. Bill's garden was last seen on the Family Life open garden tour in 2010.  He says, "Bring your questions". He welcomes them.

Remember to return library books.

Old Library Cabinet:  At our last meeting, we discussed disposal of our old library cabinet. Executive Committee has decided that the cabinet will be offered to members at the price of $100. If you are interested, please come to the meeting prepared to submit your name. A draw will be held if more than one person is interested.

Workshops. Sign-up for 3 separate workshops will happen at the meeting. This will be the only chance to sign up for Rose's Super Tufa workshop and the Garden Pests workshop. Payment will be required at the meeting. More information about these workshops can be found on the Workshops page of this website.
1. Making Super Tufa Pots   Four sessions are being offered. Participants may register for a workshop on Saturday February 11 or Sat. Feb 25 from 10:00 to 1:00 or Sunday Feb. 12 or Sun. Feb. 26 from 1:00 to 4:00. Only 4 people per session.
2. Outsmart Your Garden Pests     10:30 – 12:30     Saturday March 10.
3. Pruning Ornamental Trees     10:00 to noon     Saturday March 17.

Parlour Show: February

1.       Love is A Mini Splendored Thing – A miniature design no more than 5” in any direction.
2.       Love in a Mug – A Valentine’s Day design using a mug as the container.
3.       Flowering shrub or tree – one cut.
4.       Three blooming stems from your garden (bulb, perennial, shrub or tree).
5.       Foliage houseplant.
6.       Anything Goes – Open, non-competitive category. Enter anything you want!
