CALLING ALL PLANT LOVERS
It’s that time of year again: the Cowichan Valley Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale!
Mark your calendars for April 27, 2024, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
St. John’s Anglican Church Parking Lot, 486 Jubilee Street in Duncan
Our annual plant sale is always greatly anticipated by new and experienced gardeners alike.
Plants on sale include interesting, unusual, and hard-to-find specimens donated by our members, as well as the tried and tested old favourites, so you’re sure to find the perfect plant for your garden!
We’ll have a Master Gardener and knowledgeable club members on hand to answer your questions.
Cash sales only. Arrive early for the best selection!
We had a Potting Bee on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th. Members brought their plants, put in pots with soil the club provided, then took home to let the roots grow.
From the March 13 club meeting:
1. Barb asked members to please:

pot up plants soon so they will be well established

bring plants to St. John’s Church Hall, 486 Jubilee Street, on Friday April 26th from 3 to 4:30 pm

the sale will be in the parking lot on Saturday, April 27th 10 am – 2 pm

needed:

5 canopy pop-up tents, helpful if you can drop off on Saturday morning and pick up on Saturday afternoon,
-
solid-bottom plant carts
-
need well-rooted plants with a label in every pot
2. Karen has pots of all sizes, please contact her for her address to pick up
3. Kathleen asked members to please:

let her know what we pot up

send her pictures of special plants (eg. from a Life Member’s garden) and mark them “Special”
